The Lodge was unable to hold its Christmas get-together with family and friends before Christmas so not to lose out we held it on the 14 January 2023.
The function was well attended, thirty enjoyed dinning on a three-course meal with family and friends. A picture quiz was on each table just to keep the old brain cells active during the first two courses. Sharon of 'The Mill House Venue' then presented the main quiz of the evening which was in two parts, interspersed with the dessert course and tea/coffee and mints.
The table that won the quiz received a bottle of Gin and a large Toblerone, the bottle of Gin was then subsequently presented to Sharon for her demanding work in compiling and running the quiz.
Thank you to all who brought prizes for the raffle which raised £150.00 for worthy causes. An excellent night of friendship and good humour, excellent food, and drink.
Lewis Blackstock and Paddy Rosney friends of the Lodge, Paddy being the Son of our DC, Michael Rosney, hurling themselves round the TT circuit at speeds of more than 111 mph and qualified fourth overall in the third day of qualifying.
Carl Fogarty "FOGGY" MBE has got together with the Lads to lend them his support as one of their sponsors for the TT.

On Sunday afternoon the 13 February 2022 members of the Lodge of Amity and Rossendale Forest along with family and friends, a group of twenty-three in all, attended a tour of the Blackburn Empire theatre. Mr Michael Berry, theatre Chairman, took them on a thoroughly entertaining and fascinating journey revealing insights into its history. The visit arranged by the Lodge Social Committee has raised approximately £500 for the theatre through donations of £250 from the Lodge, and a further £250 from individual members their families and friends.
This event was well attended by members, their wives/partners, friends and guests both Masonic and Non-Masonic.
The Lodge has held on several occasions an Autumn Ball with the venue at the Sparth House Hotel in Clayton le Moors. It is an informal Ladies Evening with no speeches, but an event to say thank you to our Ladies. It also gives the Ladies a chance to put on their party frocks and dance. As always at any Ladies Evening the Men dress formally in their Evening/Dinner Suits or dark suits and bow ties.
The evening consists of pre-dinner drinks, a three or more-course meal, sometimes with entertainment during the meal. After the meal, dancing until midnight to either to live music or a disco.
These events are usually well attended by members, their wives/partners, friends and guests both Masonic and Non-Masonic.
Here is a video of one such Ladies Evening captured in still photographs and arranged to music by Ray Godwin.
