December 2019 - Christmas Social Board
on the 10th December 2019

On Tuesday 10th December following the thirty-minute (must be a Lodge record) Lodge meeting, the Brethren met with non-Masonic guests and partners at The Sparth House Hotel, Clayton le Moors where the 31 strong received a short presentation by WBro Dennis Heskett, Lodge Charity Steward, on the charitable work undertaken by Freemasons; before enjoying a festive meal.

Christmas themed table quiz and raffle which raised £125 for good causes. Having donated a couple of Raffle prizes himself, the acting WM, WBro Michael Rosney then won one of the other prizes!

A surprise Birthday cake for the acting WM's wife, Christine, was paraded into the dining room to a tuneful rendition of "Happy Birthday". Needless to say, Christine was surprised by the attention but declined an invitation to make a speech. She did however pass the cake around the room for all to try if they had room after their meal!

The evening was a great success and a fantastic way to kick off the festive season.
