January 2014: The first meeting of the new Masonic Year, the Installation meeting.
Bro Barry Thompson was proclaimed as Worshipful Master of the Lodge for the ensuing year. The Officers Appointed and Invested are recorded on the Officers Page of this website. W.Bro. David Dunn PAGDC was the representative of the RWPGM, he was accompanied by W.Bro. Brian Carter PAGDC ProvGAlm.

A ballot was taken which was in favour of a Candidate for initiation. A proposition was received for another Candidate for Initiation and a Notice of Motion was given for yet another Candidate for Initiation.
The Almoner, Charity Steward and 2015 Festival Rep. all gave their reports.
The minutes recorded 9 apologies from members, however, 24 members and 9 visitors were present.  [ Photos ]

February 2014: The main business of the evening was to Initiate Mr. Paul John Roger Spann into the Craft. W.Bro. Russell Harwood IPM worked the ceremony assisted by other Officers of the Lodge. W.Bro Michael Rosney PProvAGDC delivered the NE Corner address and the working tools of the Degree were explained by Bro. John Hutchison (FC) in a most excellent manner. The Charge after Initiation was given by W.Bro. Donald Bright PProvGSuptWks.
A ballot for initiation for Mr. M L was taken which proved in favour.
Bro. Ray Godwin proposed Mr. William John Patrick Atkinson as a candidate for initiation into Freemasonry, the proposition was seconded by the SW.
The Almoner, Charity Steward, 2015 Festival Rep. and the District Rep. all gave their respective reports. The minutes recorded 12 apologies from members, however, 24 members and 2 visitors were present.

March 2014: The main business of the evening was to Initiate Mr. M L into the Craft. W.Bro. Michael Rosney PProvAGDC worked the ceremony assisted by other Officers of the Lodge. April 2014: This meeting was the Family of Lodges meeting, the Masters of our Daughter, Grand Daughter, Great Grand Daughter and Great-Great Grand Daughter Lodges being invited to attend.
The main business of the evening was to Initiate Mr. William John Patrick Atkinson into the Craft. W.Bro. Russell Harwood IPM officiated in the absence of the WM and also worked the ceremony assisted by Officers of the Lodge. W.Bro Michael Rosney PProvADC (DC) delivered the NE Corner address and the working tools of the Degree were explained by Bro. Paul Spann (EA) in a most excellent manner. The Charge after Initiation was given by W.Bro. Donald Bright PProvGSuptWks.
Bro. Atkinson's Father and Brother had both travelled from London to witness William's initiation.
The Almoner, Charity Steward, 2015 Festival Rep. and the District Rep. all gave their respective reports. The minutes recorded 9 apologies from members, however, 24 members and 15 visitors were present.

May 2014: The main business of the evening was to receive a presentation "Take a closer look at the Royal Arch" by W.Bro. G. McMillan PProvDepGDC DORA. W.Bro. McMillan also presented a congratulatory letter from the PGM to Bro. Godwin on attaining the rank of a Master Mason.
The WM presented Bro. Godwin with his Grand Lodge Certificate which was explained by W.Bro. Dennis Heskett PProvSGD.
Reports were received from the Almoner, Charity Steward, 2015 Festival Representative and the District Representative.
The minutes recorded apologies from members, however, 20 members and 1 visitor were present.

 

June - July - August 2014:
The Lodge is in Summer recess during these months

 

September 2014: Before the Lodge was opened the WM informed the meeting of the death during the summer recess of W.Bro.Christopher Brian Garrity PProvSGD and also Bro. John Hargreaves's Sister. The Brethren stood to order in respect to departed merit.
The main business of the evening was to Pass Bro. M L to the Degree of a Fellow Craft. W.Bro. Michael Rosney PProvAGDC worked the ceremony assisted by other Officers of the Lodge. W.Bro Russell Harwood delivered the SE Corner address and the working tools of the Degree were explained by Bro. Raymond Godwin (MM) in a most excellent manner. The Charge after Passing was given by W.Bro. Donald Bright PProvGSuptWks.
A ballot was taken with respect to W.Bro. SS Pearson and W.Bro. R Morris PProvAGSuptWks to be made honorary members of the Lodge, the ballot proved in favour.
The Almoner, Charity Steward, 2015 Festival Rep. and the District Rep. all gave their respective reports. The minutes recorded apologies from members, however, 21 members and 1 visitor were present.

October 2014:The Lodge was opened in due form. Pursuant to a notice of motion, W.Bro. Derek H Smith PProvSGD proposed Bro Peter Moore as a joining member of the Lodge, seconded by W.Bro.Stuart Rayton PProvGSuptWks; the proposition will be balloted for next month.
The main business of the evening was to receive the RWPGM Sir David Trippier, RD, JP, DL, accompanied by members of a Provincial Deputation, to hear the five newest initiates of the Lodge give their personal perspective on aspects of their own evening of initiation into Freemasonry. This was in the form of a very truncated First Degree Ceremony with each of the new initiates giving their thoughts and recollections at various intervals throughout the ceremony; a concept devised and superbly narrated by W.Bro.Dennis Heskett PProvSGD, Lodge Secretary, and skilfully assisted by the Deacons W.Bro.Stuart Rayton PProvGSuptWks and W.Bro.Derek H Smith PProvSGD.
The RWPGM thanked everyone taking part, especially the five 'Candidates' for sharing their personal thoughts and recollections of their own initiation, which he found most interesting and rewarding. He also commented that the Lodge had demonstrated the importance of looking towards the future of Freemasonry, and indeed the Lodge by engaging its newer members at an early stage in Lodge workings, and he lead the assembly in showing their appreciation for the evenings work.
The Almoner, Charity Steward, 2015 Festival Rep. and the District Rep. reports were deferred until the November meeting.
The minutes recorded apologies from members, however, 27 members, 34 visitor and 12 members of the Provincial Deputation were present; making a total of 73 in the Lodge Room.

November 2014:The Lodge was opened in due form. Further to the proposition last month by W.Bro. Derek H Smith PProvSGD and seconded by W.Bro. Stuart Rayton PProvGSuptWks that Bro Peter Moore become a joining member of the Lodge, a ballot of the members was taken which proved in favour of the proposition. We look forward to welcoming Bro. Moore when he takes up his membership at the Installation in January 2015.
The main business of the evening was to Raise Bro. John Hutchison to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. The ceremony was worked in an excellent manner by W.Bro. Russell Harwood (IPM) and the Officers of the Lodge. The working Tools of the Degree were explained by Bro. Barry Thompson WM.
W.Bro Stuart Rayton PProvGSuptWks (JD) was acting Senior Warden, W.Bro. Donald Bright PProvGSuptWks (Tyler) was acting Junior Deacon, W.Bro. Andrew Shaw PProvAGDC (Treasurer) was acting Inner Guard and W.Bro. Ian Haworth (CS) was acting Tyler.
The Almoner, Charity Steward, 2015 Festival Rep. and the District Rep. all gave their respective reports. The minutes recorded apologies from members, however, 19 members and 3 visitors were present.

December 2014:The Lodge was opened in due form. This being the business meeting the Worshipful Master and Treasurer were elected for the ensuing year. Other business was also carried out as per the Summons.
However, the main business of the evening was to Raise Bro. Paul John Roger Spann to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. The ceremony was worked in an excellent manner by W.Bro. Donald Bright PProvGSuptWks and the Officers of the Lodge. The working Tools of the Degree were explained by Bro. Barry Thompson WM.
W.Bro Stuart Rayton PProvGSuptWks (JD) was acting Senior Warden, W.Bro. Greg Casson PProvDepGReg (Chaplain) was acting Junior Deacon, W.Bro. Steven Barton PProvSGW was acting IG and W.Bro. Ian Haworth PProvJGD (CS) was acting Tyler.
The Almoner, Charity Steward, 2015 Festival Rep. and the District Rep. all gave their respective reports. The minutes recorded apologies from members, however, 16 members and 10 visitors were present.
